Evicting A Tenant

In an ideal world, eviction wouldn't be something you needed to worry about. But the truth is, no matter how well you screen your tenants, there's going to come a time when you need to get someone out of your property—and sometimes the only way to do that is through eviction.

Evictions are never fun. But if you don't understand the eviction process, your tenants' rights, and your rights as a landlord, it becomes even less fun.

Before you move forward with an eviction, it's important to get a clear understanding of eviction best practices, what's within your legal rights as a landlord (for example, are you legally allowed to change the locks after a tenant refuses to pay rent?), and how to manage the eviction process. Below you'll find all the information you need to get rid of problem or negligent tenants in the least disruptive and costly way possible.
